Celebrating our Fambul Supper Club
After months of hard work and preparation, almost 70 guests joined us on Thursday, November 14th, at our very special Fambul Supper Club in London. At the event, guests learnt more about our work whilst enjoying the sensational food of award-winning, Freetown-born Chef Maria Bradford.
The buzz, energy, and love in the room was incredible, and an amazing £4,100 was raised in aid of our work in Sierra Leone. If you joined us and/or donated, thank you so much. We hope you had as fantastic an evening as we did.

We would like to give a huge, special thanks to the following people for making this event possible:
Maria Bradford. Of course, we could not have pulled this off without Maria, who put her heart and soul into the menu and food. Maria offered her services pro bono to the charity, and we are beyond grateful for her support. Please check out her beautiful book and online shop - if you like a bit of spice, try Salone Spark; it's incredible!
Studio Z. This intimate venue is tucked away down a discreet alley in Brixton. Danny, the owner, went above and beyond to make the supper club a success, from helping us set up to working alongside Maria to serve on the night (he's a Chef, so his skills came in very handy in the end!).
Kansiy Floral. The lovely florist, Mary, helped bring colour and life to our supper club by donating several beautiful small bouquets of flowers for the tables.
Mitchell Digital Media. Owner Andy Mitchell joined us in the evening to capture our event through photographs and film. All of the photos featured in this newsletter (other than the last two) are courtesy of Andy.
Studio Mepa. This creative design studio, led by the talented, Oz-based Laura Quinn, supported the event pro bono by designing all of the invitations, flyers, etc. Fun fact: Studio Mepa is also the creative brains behind our logo and branding!
The young mothers of AdAmi: who sewed the aprons which were worn by our volunteers on the night, as well as the bright, eye-catching purses which each guest got to bring home. There were also a few tote bags on display and for sale.
Our lovely volunteers. As a volunteer-run charity here in the UK, this event was made possible thanks to a wonderful group of volunteers. A special thanks goes to Crystal Chiu and Lois Ranft, who oversaw every aspect of the event, from concept to execution.
We hope to see you all at a future AdAmi event. Thank you again for your support!
