Join us as a Local Supervisor in Sierra Leone

Volunteer role alert - become a Local Supervisor in Sierra Leone

The role: we are currently seeking to appointment 2-4 new people to join our local advisory board . Your role will be to support the effective implementation of our programme in Bo, with the end goal of helping to create lasting change in the lives and opportunities of the young mothers we work with. 

The key roles and responsibilities of the local advisors are to:

  • Support the team to deliver the programme to the highest standards by sharing expert knowledge, insights, advice and networks.

  • Have good oversight of local operations and activities to ensure legal compliance and best practice.

  • Serve as a local ambassador of AdAmi, championing our work at relevant networks and forums to raise awareness and support for our work.

Required commitment:

  • Quarterly meetings (every 3 months) lasting 2-3 hours. Meetings will be in-person for those who are based in Bo (or nearby). We are open to supervisors in other locations of Sierra Leone, who can join by phone. 

  • Adhoc review of key documents/proposals as needed between meetings (all communications to be over group whatsapp). 

  • Anticipated time commitment each quarter = 12 hours

Who we are looking for: 

  • Individuals with a proven passion for, and commitment to, women’s and youth empowerment

  • Significant experience and knowledge of working on issues directly related to the AdAmi Project’s core mission

  • Natural collaborators with excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork 

  • A commitment to the AdAmi Project’s mission, strategy and operating standards and procedures

  • All candidates must be based in Sierra Leone with excellent English

Remuneration:

  • Refreshments and transport/communications allowance, if attending meetings in Bo

  • A small per diem will be provided to all supervisors who attend the quarterly meeting
